Acanthocalycium glaucum

Acanthocalycium glaucum is a highly decorative collector's cactus, appreciated for its slightly flattened, globular body, with a distinctive blue-green to glaucous gray color, and for its dark spines, which contrast elegantly with the plant's epidermis.

It has a compact, sculptural appearance, with well-defined ribs and slightly fuzzy areoles. As it matures, it can produce attractive flowers, which usually appear in the upper part of the plant.
