Camellia is a wonderful plant that delights us with its incredible flowers. The plant grows in the form of a shrub and is suitable both for the interior of homes and for terraces or gardens. It blooms profusely for 4-6 months a year (depending on care).
In Asia, Camellia is of particular importance, being popularly called the "tea plant" and considered a symbol of the samurai.
Height with pots included: approx. 30-35 cm
Pot diameter: 12 cm
It can withstand temperatures of -15 degrees Celsius.
Number of flowers per pot is variable. CARE INSTRUCTIONS CAMELIA JAPONICA
Plant development: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m
Placement: Camellia needs a lot of light but does not tolerate direct sunlight. It is recommended to place it in cool, shaded but bright spaces, away from heat sources and with constant humidity. In the climatic conditions of Romania, the plant withstands very well outside - provided it is planted in the garden, in a safe place. It does NOT tolerate large temperature differences well (moved inside-outside, from hot to cold or vice versa)!
Moisture: Water regularly, without letting the soil dry completely between waterings. On hot summer days, it is sprayed on the leaves.
Propagation: By cuttings.
