Selenicereus anthonyanus (Cryptocereus anthonyanus)
€7,95
Selenicereus anthonyanus, also known as Cryptocereus anthonyanus, or commonly "Zigzag cactus" or "Fishbone cactus," is a succulent houseplant valued for its unique leaves, resembling fish bones or zig-zags.
This plant is native to the tropical forests of Mexico and naturally grows on trees as an epiphytic plant, meaning it does not need soil to grow. Its long, green, flat leaves with wavy edges can reach several meters in length in their natural environment, although they are usually much shorter when grown indoors.
Selenicereus anthonyanus is a fast-growing plant that prefers partial light conditions and is resistant to most common plant diseases. It is also drought-tolerant, making it ideal for those who often forget to water their plants.
One of the most impressive features of this plant is its flowering. The flowers, which appear rarely and only on mature plants, are large, white, and very fragrant, but usually open only at night.
The plant is sold without flowers!
