Hoya latifolia 'Albomarginata' (round leaf) is a label for plants of the species Hoya latifolia with variegation along the leaf margin and broader, almost rounded blades. The center remains green, with distinct veins, while the border is cream to white. Under good growing conditions, umbels of small, star-shaped, cream-pink to pale pink flowers may appear. The flowers are fragrant. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage. The foliage in this batch is broad and oval, with a short tip, not long and narrow. The variegation is marginal: the cream-white tissue is along the border, not in the middle of the leaf blade. The width of the light-colored band varies from one leaf to another. Young shoots may be pink. 'Pot of Gold' and other forms with internal patterns are a different SKU.

Flowers and fragrance. The species’ flowers are small, star-shaped, and grouped in umbels. Cultivation sources describe them as pale green, yellow, or pink; the gallery image shows cream-pink umbels. They are fragrant; we do not specify a single fragrance note. The number of flowers per umbel varies. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted name is Hoya latifolia G.Don, published in 1837. Its native range extends from Myanmar to western Malesia (including Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Malaya, and Thailand), rather than being limited to Borneo and Java. It is also circulated as Hoya macrophylla 'Albomarginata'; one gallery image retains this label. Hoya macrophylla Wight is an illegitimate homonym of this species. Hoya macrophylla Blume is a different name. The title remains unchanged.
