Echinofossulocactus multicostatus – cactus rar cu forme geometrice spectaculoase

Echinofossulocactus multicostatus (syn. Stenocactus multicostatus) is a collectible cactus species native to Mexico, valued for its perfectly symmetrical shape and the large number of wavy ribs that create a unique decorative appearance. It is a compact plant, yet full of personality, ideal for lovers of rare cacti.

🌿 Botanical characteristics:

• Family: Cactaceae

• Origin: northern Mexico

• Shape: globular, with numerous tightly wavy ribs and thin, slightly curved spines

• Flowers: appear in spring–summer, white-pink or cream with purple stripes, in the center of the plant

• Growth: slow but steady under suitable conditions

☀️ Growing conditions:

• Light: intense, with direct sun exposure for beautiful coloration and flowering

• Watering: rare – only when the substrate is completely dry; avoid water stagnation

• Soil: very well drained, specific for cacti (mix with sand, gravel, and perlite)

• Temperature: prefers 20–30°C in summer and minimum 5°C in winter; winters in a dry and bright place

• Fertilization: light, only during the active growth period (spring–summer)
