The orchid Dendrobium nobile Fancy Moon Eve is the result of crossing the species Dendrobium Upin King × Dendrobium Oriental Smile. It is a variety with large, very colorful flowers, yellow with pink accents.
The name of this plant, Dendrobium nobile orchid, refers to the way it grows in the wild: preferably on trees, but sometimes also on stones.
In Greek, Dendron means "tree" and Bios "life".
Dendrobium Nobile differs from other orchid species by the cluster of flowers that forms in front of the axil of each leaf. This unusual way of blooming on the stem gives this orchid a lifespan of at least 8 weeks.
Flower size: 4-5 cm
Height including pot: 40-45 cm
Pot diameter: 12 cm

The fragrant flowers range from five to eight centimeters. The color varies from pure white to yellow and orange to red and purple, and combinations of these colors.
Care instructions for Dendrobium Nobile Orchid:
This orchid can tolerate light, but do not place it in direct sunlight.
Ensure a cool and well-ventilated environment between 15 and 20 °C.
Like other orchids, the Dendrobium Nobile orchid should not be watered too much. Water only when the soil is nearly dry; once every 5-7 days is sufficient.
It is also a good idea to soak the plant once a month.
Dendrobium Nobile begins its blooming cycle in spring. From that moment, it is important to pay special attention to the plant’s growth. This requires good humidity, regular watering, a bit of fertilizer, and placing the plant in a bright and warm spot.
When the flower stem stops blooming, the flowers will fall off by themselves. Place the plant in a bright place with a temperature between 10 and 15 °C during winter. Continue to water the plant normally during this period—do not let it dry out.
Dendrobium Nobile does not do well in a pot that is too large and can remain in the same pot for 2 to 3 years.
In smaller pots, the soil mix (bark) dries faster, so the roots are more likely to stay intact. Repotting is therefore only necessary when the plant no longer fits in the pot.
