Philodendron Paraiso Verde (low variegation)
Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a perennial herbaceous plant from the Araceae family, originally from Central and South America. It is a popular indoor plant, appreciated for its variegated leaves.
The leaves are elongated, with a length of up to 40 cm and a width of up to 15 cm. They have a heart shape at the base and are narrowed towards the top. Young leaves are light green with white or yellow spots. As they grow, the leaves become darker in color and the spots become larger.
The stem is long and thin, with knots at regular intervals. The nodes are where the leaves and aerial roots appear.
Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a relatively easy plant to care for. It needs indirect light, but it can also tolerate a weaker light. It should not be placed in direct sunlight, because the leaves can burn.
The soil must be well drained. The plant must be watered when the soil is dry to the touch. It should not be watered excessively, as it can lead to rotting of the roots.
The specimens may also have defective leaves.
