Mimosa pudica – Mimosa, the "Touch-me-not" plant
Mimosa pudica, commonly known as mimosa or “Touch-me-not”, is famous for the spectacular movement of its leaves: at the slightest touch, they fold instantly and gradually return to their original shape after a few minutes. This unique behavior has made it a highly beloved collector’s plant, especially among children and lovers of interactive plants.
The leaves are delicate, compound, light green, and the plant can also produce round, pink-lilac, fluffy-looking flowers.
