Masdevallia herradurae

Masdevallia herradurae is a miniature and compact epiphytic orchid species, native to the humid mountainous regions of Colombia and Ecuador, where it grows at high altitudes in cool to moderate conditions. It has narrow, light green leaves about 7-10 cm long and produces short flower stalks with small flowers, around 1-2 cm, in dark red or brownish-purple hues, with long pointed tails and a subtle cinnamon scent, blooming abundantly almost all year or in seasonal waves. It is easy to grow in terrariums, preferring indirect light, high humidity, and constant moisture.
