Mammillaria marksiana is a Mexican cactus prized by collectors for its light green body, sometimes tinged with yellow, abundant white wool between its tubercles, and fine spines ranging from golden yellow to brown. The species is botanically accepted under the name Mammillaria marksiana and is native to Mexico, especially Durango and Sinaloa.

At maturity, it may remain solitary or form compact clumps. Its flowering is remarkable for the yellowish-green flowers, arranged in a crown around the top of the plant.

✨ What makes it special

  • bright green coloring, sometimes with yellowish hues
  • decorative white wool between the tubercles
  • delicate golden-yellow spines
  • unusual, yellow-green flowers
  • compact and elegant appearance
  • Mexican species prized by collectors
  • may form decorative clusters over time

📌 Note: The plant’s shape, wool density, number of spines, and intensity of its yellow-green hue may naturally vary from one specimen to another. Exposure to intense light may enhance the plant’s yellowish tones, without indicating a problem.  The stem may have small scars, dry spots, or natural growth marks, especially on mature specimens. These imperfections are mainly cosmetic and do not normally affect the plant’s viability.
