Gastrochilus japonicus is a botanical species of orchid, native to Japan (including the Ryukyu Islands), Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This plant belongs to the genus Gastrochilus, from the Orchidaceae family, Epidendroideae subfamily, and is part of the Vandeae tribe.
