Dolichothele longimamma f. monstruosa

Dolichothele longimamma f. monstruosa is a special form of the species Dolichothele longimamma, a cactus native to Mexico. This form is known for its unusual growth and decorative appearance.

It has a spherical or slightly cylindrical shape, with a diameter of approximately 10-15 cm. The surface of the plant is covered with tubercles in the shape of nipples, each having an areola with 1-3 short and thin spines. The monstrous variety of this cactus can show abnormal growth, with strange and non-linear shapes, which gives it a unique appearance.

The flowers are large, yellow, which appear at the top, usually in the warm season. These are followed by red fruits.

Dolichothele longimamma f. monstruosa prefers a well-drained soil with a mix of cactus soil. It likes direct sunlight, but can also tolerate partial shade. It is resistant to drought, but sensitive to excessive humidity and cold.
