Aloe haworthioides is a highly prized collector’s succulent with a compact and “fluffy” appearance, reminiscent of a Haworthia but with the personality of an Aloe. It forms dense rosettes with narrow leaves covered in fine white hairs, offering a clean and modern look, perfect for small pots, succulent arrangements, and collections.

🌿 Botanical characteristics:

  • Family: Asphodelaceae
  • Botanical name: Aloe haworthioides
  • Common name (RO): aloe, “mini” aloe, collector’s aloe
  • Leaves: narrow, rigid, arranged in a rosette, with fine whitish hairs on the edges and surface; “soft” appearance to the eye
  • Growth habit: compact rosette; can form clusters (offsets) over time

☀️ Growing and care conditions:

  • Light: very bright light; tolerates mild sun (gradual acclimation). Stays compact in good light
  • Watering: infrequent; water only after the substrate is completely dry; minimal watering in winter
  • Temperature: 18–28°C; protect from cold and cold moisture
  • Substrate: very well-drained, predominantly mineral; pot with mandatory drainage
  • Maintenance: avoid persistent moisture in the rosette and water tray
