Full description and specifications

Epipremnum pinnatum variegated , also known as "variegated pothos." This tropical plant is highly prized for its decorative leaves, which have unique variegated patterns.

General appearance :

    • It has long, elongated leaves with a lanceolate shape.
    • Mature leaves may develop fenestrations (openings), similar to those of Monstera .
    • The variegation of the leaves varies between creamy white, pale yellow and light green, creating an impressive contrast.
    • Under optimal conditions, the plant can reach a length of 2-3 meters, either as a climbing plant or as a suspended plant.

This plant is relatively easy to maintain and ideal for indoor spaces.

1. Light

  • It prefers bright indirect light to maintain intense variegation.
  • It also tolerates moderate light, but the leaves may become predominantly green in low light conditions.
  • Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

2. Watering

  • Water the plant when the top layer of soil (about 2-3 cm) is dry.
  • Generally, once a week is sufficient in summer, and watering can be less frequent in winter.
  • Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

3. Humidity

  • It prefers medium to high humidity, but also tolerates dry indoor air.
  • Spray the leaves with water or use a humidifier, especially during the cold season.

4. Soil

  • Use a well-drained soil rich in organic matter. A mix of all-purpose soil with perlite or coconut fiber is ideal.

5. Temperature

  • It grows best at temperatures between 18-27°C.
  • Avoid exposure to temperatures below 10°C and cold drafts.

6. Fertilization

  • Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer (NPK 10-10-10) once a month during the active growth period (spring-summer).
  • Reduce fertilization during winter.

7. Transplantation

  • Transplant the plant once every 1-2 years or when the roots come out of the pot.
  • Use a pot with drainage holes to avoid waterlogging.

8. Multiplication

  • It is easily propagated by stem cuttings:
    • Cut a stem with at least one node and leaves.
    • Place the cutting in water or directly in a moist, well-drained substrate.
    • Roots form in 2-4 weeks.

The decorative vase is not included in the price.
