Full description and specifications
Weingartia lanata is a species of cactus originating from the central region of South America, more specifically from Argentina and Bolivia. It is a small-sized cactus, having a globular shape and reaching heights of approximately 5-10 cm and a similar diameter.

Weingartia lanata is covered with short and woolly hairs, hence its specific name "woolly". These bristles give it a fluffy appearance and a soft texture to the touch. The color of the brushes varies from white-yellow to dark brown, offering an interesting contrast with the dark green of the plant's body.

Weingartia lanata produces yellow or orange trumpet-shaped flowers that develop at the top of the cactus. The flowers are small, but quite attractive, adding a decorative element during the flowering period.

This cactus prefers a well-drained growing environment and exposure to direct sunlight. It is adapted to arid conditions and can withstand periods of drought. It is a prized plant in cacti and succulent collections due to its interesting appearance and its ability to survive in difficult conditions.
