The cactus is among the most popular houseplants due to its easy care. Like most plants, it needs light, suitable soil, water, and fertilizer.
Placement: bright space, cooler in winter, sunny in summer
Humidity: water once a month in winter, once a week in summer with a little water
Substrate: neutral Dutch peat or sand mixed with gravel
Propagation: by separating the pups from the mother plant or by seeds
Characteristics: Succulents and cacti should not be overwatered; too much water leads to root rot. Cacti that rest in a cool place during winter experience a dormancy that encourages abundant flowering the following year. To stimulate flowering, you can apply special fertilizer for cacti during the warm season.
