Philodendron Shangri La
Philodendron Shangri La is included in the list of plants recognized for its air purifying qualities.
Philodendron or Philodendron is considered by NASA to be among the best plants for eliminating formaldehyde, especially when it is in high concentration.
This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of the leaves. The nectar has the role of attracting ants in search of food - thus, the plant gains a supply of chemicals secreted by them, but also takes advantage of the aggressive way in which the ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects .
The specimens in stock may show a slight variegation on some leaves (mottled variegation) or traces/scars on the leaves. This aspect is considered normal.
