Neoporteria napina is a species of cactus native to Chile. It belongs to the Cactaceae family. Also known under the name 'Eriosyce napina' following a recent taxonomic reorganization, this cactus species is known for its globular and fleshy shapes.

Neoporteria napina grows slowly, reaching a diameter of about 6-15 cm. The plant has a gray-green or brown-green coloration. It has many sharp spines that emerge from prominent tubercles. The flowers appear in spring and are generally yellow, but can vary towards red or orange.

Like most cacti, Neoporteria napina is adapted to dry conditions and needs plenty of sunlight. Well-drained soil is essential to prevent root rot. This plant is also resistant to cold, but does not tolerate frost.
