The Masdevallia orchid is native to South America.
Approximate height: 15-30 cm.
Pot diameter: 9 cm.
The plant grows from a short rootstock, which creates small pseudobulbs. Some are hemicryptophytes: pseudobulb at or just below the surface. Each pseudobulb has smooth, fleshy leaves that grow in clusters. The green leaves are oval or lance-shaped. They usually bloom during the summer. The flowers are triangular in shape and about 6 cm wide. Usually, there is only one flower per stem, but there can be many. The petals and the tongue-shaped or shell-shaped lip are small and partly hidden deep within the flower. The sepals are often very brightly colored and large.

Attention! This plant is sensitive to transport and may arrive without flowers.

Note: a mix of plants with flowers in various shades of orange. A specimen will be sent at random from the batch offered for sale. The decorative pot is not included in the price.
