Aechmea Brasil is a spectacular plant, which is part of the bromeliad family. Aechmea is also popularly called the vase plant, because its variegated leaves form a cone from which the gorgeous inflorescence rises.

Location: bright but shaded place
Moisture: the substrate must be slightly moist and the funnel must be full of fresh water
Substrate: neutral peat
Propagation: by separating the young from the mother plant
Characteristics: the spike - the flower, is a bract with a very long life, of about 6 months. After the flower has passed, the stem is cut at the base, and the plant forms many young around it. The chicks separate when they are 5-7 cm and bloom in turn.
It is not a fragile plant at all, but the only condition that must be met is that it be watered correctly.
