Philodendron Melanochrysum - an epiphytic botanical species, considered rare, discovered in the jungles of Colombia and Costa Rica.
Other known names: Black Gold Philodendron, Velour Philodendron, Philodendron andreanum (the original scientific name)
“Melanochrysum” means “black gold” - the name tries to describe the golden spots that can be seen when the velvety dark green leaves are in sunlight.
Note: Stock specimens may also have leaves with imperfections.
