Mammillaria polythele ‘Toluca’ is a striking variety of columnar cactus, native to Mexico, highly valued by collectors for its elegant shape and rarity in cultivation. The stems are upright, dark green, covered with small tubercles arranged in a spiral, from which short, fine, white or yellowish spines emerge. In spring and summer, the plant produces pink or purple flowers arranged in circular crowns around the stem, a classic spectacle for the Mammillaria genus.
