Hoya globulosa is the accepted species; Hoya villosa is a synonym, not an accepted name. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic vine with pubescent foliage, prominent veins, and nearly spherical umbels. The flowers are cream or straw-colored, with a pink corona at the base, and are fragrant. This is the developed potted plant, separate from the small pot, and the vines can be trained onto a support or left to trail. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth. The foliage is oblong or elliptic, leathery, with a thick midrib and visible lateral veins. The surface may be more or less hairy; the pubescence sometimes disappears on older leaves. The color is green, with darker veins. The growth habit is that of a climbing vine, not a compact bush.

Flowers and fragrance. The umbels are globose, with many flowers. The corolla is described as straw-colored or cream; the corona has a pink, pinkish-brown, or reddish base. The flowers are fragrant. The shade, density of the umbel, and fragrance intensity may vary between specimens. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The degree of development and branching varies depending on the season and batch. The photos are for informational purposes only.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
