Hoya crassipetiolata 'Splash' is a cultivar of the species Hoya crassipetiolata, selected for its firm, glossy foliage and silvery markings between the veins (splash). The intensity of the markings varies from leaf to leaf. It has a climbing growth habit, with long vines, and the tips can be brittle during transport. The species is native to Vietnam. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions. Large specimens have an immediate decorative impact.

Foliage and growth. The leaves are large, elliptical and textured, with silvery patterns and prominent, well-defined veins. In good light, the foliage becomes more contrasting. The long vines are brittle and can be damaged during transport or handling.

Flowers and fragrance. The gallery shows umbels of small, waxy, white or cream-colored flowers with pale pink coronas. The color may vary depending on growing conditions. We cannot guarantee fragrance. The peduncles remain after flowering. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted botanical name is Hoya crassipetiolata Aver., V.T.Pham & T.A.Le, published in 2017. The species is native to Vietnam. Hoya hainanensis is a separately accepted species and not an original name for this taxon. The commercial labels Da Nang or DaNang Vietnam indicate the origin of the horticultural material, not a different botanical name. Splash Round is the round-leaved form, distinct from the Splash selection with narrower leaves.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
