Gomesa crispa - a botanical species found in the states of Goias, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, at altitudes between 500 and 1500 meters. It is a small to medium-sized epiphytic species, with growth adapted to cool climates. It has narrow, oblong-conical, flattened, two-edged pseudobulbs that bear two upright and spreading leaves, membranous, narrow-lance-shaped, sharp or shortly pointed, gradually tapering towards the base.

It blooms abundantly from summer to autumn, on multiple hanging flower stalks about 20 cm long, with numerous fragrant flowers arranged densely. It is a species that requires constant watering (adjusted according to ambient temperature) and even fertilization throughout the year.

Gomesa crispa produces fragrant flowers with a lemon scent.
Flower size: approx. 2 cm

Note: some leaves have defects.

It is cared for like Gomesa Radicans. See the care guide on the Blog.
