Epipremnum pinnatum variegated, also known as "variegated pothos." This tropical plant is highly valued for its decorative leaves, which have unique variegated patterns.

General appearance:

    • It has long, narrow leaves with a lance-shaped form.
    • Mature leaves may develop openings (fenestrations), similar to those of Monstera.
    • The leaf variegation ranges from creamy white, pale yellow to light green, creating a striking contrast.
    • Under optimal conditions, the plant can reach a length of 2-3 meters, either as a climbing plant or as a hanging plant.

This plant is relatively easy to care for and ideal for indoor spaces.

1. Light

  • Prefers strong indirect light to maintain intense variegation.
  • Also tolerates moderate light, but leaves may turn mostly green in low light conditions.
  • Avoid direct sunlight exposure, which can burn the leaves.

2. Watering

  • Water the plant when the top layer of soil (about 2-3 cm) is dry.
  • Generally, once a week is enough in summer, and watering can be less frequent in winter.
  • Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

3. Humidity

  • Prefers medium to high humidity but also tolerates the dry indoor air.
  • Spray the leaves with water or use a humidifier, especially during the cold season.

4. Soil

  • Use well-drained soil rich in organic matter. A mix of universal soil with perlite or coconut fiber is ideal.

5. Temperature

  • Grows best at temperatures between 18-27°C.
  • Avoid exposure to temperatures below 10°C and cold drafts.

6. Fertilizing

  • Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer (NPK 10-10-10) once a month during the active growth period (spring-summer).
  • Reduce fertilizing during winter.

7. Repotting

  • Repot the plant every 1-2 years or when roots grow out of the pot.
  • Use a pot with drainage holes to avoid water accumulation.

8. Propagation

  • Easily propagated by stem cuttings:
    • Cut a stem with at least one node and leaves.
    • Place the cutting in water or directly into a moist, well-drained substrate.
    • Roots form in 2-4 weeks.

The decorative pot is not included in the price.

Height including pot: approx. 20 cm
