Epiphyllum, also called the Leaf Cactus or orchid cactus, originates from South America. The flowers appear at the ends of the stems and can be about 10-20 cm wide. Most Epiphyllum grown today are hybrids and can have pink, red, white, yellow, orange, violet, or two-colored flowers.
Light: bright area, without direct sunlight
Water: during the growing period (spring - autumn) keep the soil moist. In winter, water less frequently until new growth appears.
Humidity: moderate 40-50%
Temperature: moderate 18-24 °C. To produce flower buds, the plant needs 8-10 weeks of cool days at 16-18 °C and nights at 7-13 °C.
Fertilizer: every 2 weeks from early spring until autumn, using a fertilizer high in phosphorus.
The plant is sold without flowers!
