The Phragmipedium orchid comes from South and Central America. This species is quite easy to care for, considering a few basic rules:
- the lack of pseudobulbs in this species makes water storage impossible, so high humidity must be ensured;
- during summer, the substrate must be kept constantly moist, but moderately;
- place in a bright area (without direct sunlight);
- fertilize once a week (in winter every two weeks) with half the recommended dose of orchid fertilizer
