Full description and specifications

Lepismium cruciforme is an epiphytic plant from the cactus family, originally from the tropical regions of South America, especially from the forests of Brazil. Unlike most cacti, this one does not have a globular or cylindrical shape, but grows like a liana, with long and flat branches, which can reach lengths of up to 1 meter or more.

Its stems, which can range from light green to burgundy, are flat and thin, with a distinct cruciform shape in cross-section.

Lepismium cruciforme flowers are small, white or pale pink, and appear along the stems. Flowering usually takes place during the summer, but it can continue at other times of the year.

As an epiphytic plant, Lepismium cruciforme adapts well to high humidity and indirect light, making it a popular option for growing indoors. However, it can also withstand drier conditions, as long as it is provided with well-drained soil. It is a resistant plant, but, unlike many cacti, it is not very resistant to cold.

The plant is sold without flowers.
