Tillandsia cyanea 'Anita'

Tillandsia cyanea is an epiphytic plant from the Bromeliad family, known for its exotic appearance. It has long, slender, and curved leaves that form a rosette, and produces a distinctive spike-shaped flower cluster, pink in color that can vary to shades of red, turning green when the plant does not receive enough light.

From each bract of the flower cluster emerge small flowers of a deep blue-violet, which is where the name "cyanea" comes from. The plant prefers indirect light, high humidity, and does not necessarily require soil, being epiphytic by nature and thus able to absorb water and nutrients from the air.

It is one of the most popular varieties of tillandsia due to its beauty given by the unusual, intense, and strongly contrasting colors.
