Phalaenopsis speciosa 'Lila Hegy'
Phalaenopsis speciosa 'Purple Mountain' - a selection of the botanical species, formerly classified as Phal. Tetraspis.
Whatever the correct name, it is a splendid plant that tends to produce a large number of flower spikes. The blooming is sequential - the flowers open one by one and are white at the base, with petals or sepals usually purple-lilac, or sometimes entirely purple. Each flower displays a unique coloration!
Phalaenopsis speciosa and tetraspis naturally have lime-green leaves and distinctive markings.
