Maranta leuconeura ‘Fantasy’ is a special cultivar, recently introduced into production by Dutch growers, noted for its intensely decorative foliage. The contrasting venation creates an almost phosphorescent effect, and the small veins segmenting the leaf are visible and well-defined, offering a spectacular graphic appearance.

As the plant grows, leaf color varies depending on their age. Young leaves may have different shades than mature ones, so an actively growing specimen seems to display several types of foliage simultaneously, enhancing the visual effect.

The habit is compact at first, becoming slightly trailing over time, suitable for classic pots or hanging planters.

Like all marantas, it is also known as the “prayer plant” because the leaves gently raise in the evening, following a natural rhythm.
