Dipladenia, also called Mandevilla or Brazilian jasmine, is a houseplant or terrace plant, especially decorative due to the abundance of large, trumpet-shaped flowers in white, yellow, pink, or red.

Recommended growing conditions:

• Light: Prefers direct sunlight for at least a few hours a day. A south or west exposure is ideal to encourage abundant flowering.
• Watering: Watering should be regular, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soaked. On very hot summer days, daily watering may be necessary. Ensure good pot drainage to avoid root rot.
• Soil: A well-drained, rich mix, such as a potting mix for flowering plants, is ideal. The soil pH should be slightly acidic to neutral.
• Fertilizing: Apply a liquid fertilizer rich in phosphorus, diluted to half the recommended strength, once every two weeks during the active growing period to stimulate flowering.
• Pruning: Pruning may be necessary to maintain the plant’s shape and encourage branching. Prune after flowering or at the beginning of spring.
• Winter care: If you live in an area with cold winters, the plant should be brought indoors or protected, as it does not tolerate temperatures below zero degrees Celsius.
• Growth: It is a tropical vine that can grow quickly, reaching lengths of up to 3-4 meters in a single season under ideal conditions.
