Hoya verticillata 'Wayang'

Hoya verticillata 'Wayang' is a collector's cultivar, valued for its firm leaves and well-defined network of veins. The name “Wayang” identifies the horticultural material described separately. The green foliage, with its pronounced veined pattern, enhances the plant's graphic appearance, while its climbing habit allows the vines to be trained on a support. Foliage and growth. The leaves are thick, waxy, elliptic to ovate, while the prominent veins create the selection's main decorative contrast. The plant produces long vines and can be grown on a support or allowed to trail. New growth matures gradually, so the size, colour, and relief of young leaves may temporarily differ from those of the mature foliage.

Flowers and fragrance. It produces umbels of waxy, cream-white flowers with a pink to purple centre. The flowers are fragrant, but the intensity and character of the fragrance may vary depending on the time of day, the age of the flowers, and growing conditions.
