Gomesa crispa - botanical species found in the states of Goias, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, at altitudes between 500 and 1500 meters. It is an epiphytic species of small to medium size, with growth adapted to the cool climate. It presents narrow, oblong-conical, compressed, ancipital pseudobulbs, which bear two erect and spreading, membranous, narrow-ligulate-lanceolate leaves, acute or short acuminate, long attenuated towards the base.

It blooms profusely from summer to autumn, on multiple hanging inflorescences, about 20 cm long, with numerous fragrant flowers, densely arranged. It is a species that requires constant watering (adjusted according to the ambient temperature) and uniform fertilization throughout the year.

Gomesa crispa produces fragrant flowers with a lemon scent.
Flower size: approx. 2 cm
