Full description and specifications

Croton (Codiaeum variegatum) is a plant native to Indonesia and Malaysia, and is known for its colorful leaves. The variety 'Gold Sun' has green, yellow and orange leaves.

To care for the 'Gold Sun' croton, follow these steps:

Light: Croton prefers a location with intense light, but protected from direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves. It is ideal to be placed in a place with light filtered through thin curtains or to be placed in a partially shaded area.

Temperature: Croton prefers warm and humid temperatures, between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Avoid exposure to drafts or sudden temperature changes.

Watering : Croton needs regular watering, but you must not let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, when it is less active, we must water less often and reduce the amount of water.

The soil : Croton prefers a well-drained soil rich in nutrients, such as humus, peat, perlite and sand. It is recommended that the substrate contain a pH between 5.5 - 6.5, so an acidic and well-drained soil is ideal.

Fertilizers : Croton needs regular fertilizers, preferably in the season of active growth (spring and summer). Use a balanced liquid fertilizer that contains microelements, and respect the indicated dose.

With proper care, the 'Gold Sun' croton can grow healthy and beautiful in your home.

The shade of the leaves varies depending on the environmental conditions.
