Full description and specifications

Ceropegia linearis 'Merel' is a succulent plant appreciated for its thin stems and heart-shaped leaves, green with silver or darker accents. This variety is part of the Ceropegia family and has a flowing appearance, being ideal for hanging pots, where the long stems can grow freely and cascade down.

Care:

  1. Light : Ceropegia linearis 'Merel' prefers strong indirect light. It also adapts well to direct morning or afternoon light, but must be protected from the intense midday sun, which can burn the leaves.

  2. Watering : Like many succulents, it prefers moderate watering. It is important to let the soil dry completely between waterings to avoid root rot. In the colder months, watering should be reduced.

  3. The soil : It needs a well-drained soil, ideally a mixture for cacti and succulents. Drainage is essential to prevent excessive water accumulation.

  4. Temperature and Humidity : Ceropegia linearis tolerates indoor temperatures well, but must be protected from temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. Normal room humidity is sufficient, but it also performs well in dry environments.

  5. Fertilization : Fertilization can be done once every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted fertilizer for succulent plants.

  6. Propagation : It can be propagated by stem cuttings, which are left to dry for a few hours, after which they are planted in slightly moist soil.
