Caladium Miss Muffet

Caladium 'Miss Mufet' is an impressive variety of caladium, known for its spectacular leaves that add a splash of color to any space. It belongs to the Araceae family and originates from the tropical regions of South America.

Care

1. Light: Caladium prefers bright places, but shielded from direct sunlight. Too much light can scorch the leaves, while lack of light causes the vibrant colors to fade.

2. Watering: This plant requires consistently moist soil, but not waterlogged. Watering should be adjusted according to temperature and humidity, increasing frequency during summer and reducing it in winter.

3. Temperature and humidity: Caladium thrives in high humidity and temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. Avoid exposure to cold drafts or temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.

4. Fertilizer: Feed the plant once a month during the active growing period (spring-summer) with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer.

5. Soil: Choose soil rich in organic matter with good drainage.

⚠️ Note: Caladium is often a seasonal plant – the leaves may retreat into dormancy (autumn-winter), but the tubers remain viable and will produce new leaves in spring. Also, the leaves are sensitive, possibly showing drying at the edges or spots under dry air or too strong light conditions.
