Thelocactus bicolor is a species of cactus native to the desert regions of Mexico. It stands out for its attractive appearance and spectacular flowers.

Care :

  1. Light : It needs 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.
  2. Soil : Well drained, mixture of sand, gravel and potting soil.
  3. Watering : Moderate during the growing season, dry soil between waterings.
  4. Temperature : Thelocactus bicolor prefers warm temperatures, but can tolerate temperatures below 5°C if the soil is dry.
  5. Fertilizer : Monthly, during the growing season; not in winter.
  6. Transplantation : Once every 2-3 years. A bind a pot just slightly larger than the previous one to prevent excessive water retention.
