Bulbophyllum vaginatum (kellemes illatú)

Bulbophyllum vaginatum is a miniature epiphytic orchid native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Java, and Borneo, found in mangrove forests, lowlands, and moist secondary woods. It has small, oval, yellow pseudobulbs spaced along a creeping rhizome, with a single, oblong, dark green, and thick leaf. The flowers are small, cream-yellow, grouped in basal clusters, with long sepals ending in fine tendrils, similar to those of Bulbophyllum medusae but more compact. It blooms twice a year and prefers warm temperatures, high humidity, and indirect light. It is valued for its compact growth and the exotic appearance of its flowers.
