Araucaria heterophylla, also known as the Norfolk Island pine, is a conifer species endemic to Norfolk Island, an external territory of Australia located in the Pacific Ocean, between New Zealand and New Caledonia.

It is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant due to its attractive, vertical leaves. Araucaria heterophylla is a large, slow-growing tree that can reach a height of up to 50-65 meters. It has a straight, vertical trunk and symmetrical branches that extend almost horizontally or slightly obliquely.

Araucaria heterophylla is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions. However, to develop optimally, it needs:

  • Light: Prefers a bright location, but not in direct sunlight.
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity.
  • Watering: Water regularly, but not excessively.
  • Minimum temperature: 5-7 degrees Celsius
  • Pruning: No maintenance cuts required.

In summer, it can be placed outside, on the terrace or in the garden, but in a shady spot, protected from the strong rays of the sun.

Height with pot included: approx. 30-35 cm

The decorative pot is not included in the price.
