Araucaria heterophylla, also known as the Norfolk Island pine, is a conifer species native to Norfolk Island, an external territory of Australia located in the Pacific Ocean, between New Zealand and New Caledonia.

It is grown worldwide as an ornamental plant due to its attractive, upright leaves. Araucaria heterophylla is a large tree with slow growth, which can reach a height of up to 50-65 meters. It has a straight, vertical trunk and symmetrical branches that extend almost horizontally or slightly slanted.

Araucaria heterophylla is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions. However, to thrive optimally, it requires:

  • Light: Prefers a bright location, but not in direct sunlight.
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity.
  • Watering: Water regularly, but not excessively.
  • Minimum temperature: 5-7 degrees Celsius
  • Pruning: Does not require maintenance trimming.

In summer, it can be placed outside on the terrace or in the garden, but in a shaded spot, protected from strong sunlight.

Height including pot: approx. 30-35 cm

Decorative pot is not included in the price.
