Full description and specifications

Anthurium, also known as "Flamingo Flower" or "Painter's Palette", is a popular indoor plant native to Central and South America. They are known for their glossy leaves and colorful spathes that surround a cylindrical inflorescence, called a spadix. To keep an Anthurium plant healthy and thriving, follow these care instructions:

Light : Anthurium prefers an indirect but bright light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves. If you don't have enough natural light, you can also use artificial light.

Watering : Make sure that the soil is well drained and that the plant is watered regularly. Let the soil dry on the surface between waterings. In winter, reduce watering.

Humidity : Anthurium is a tropical plant, so it prefers a high level of humidity. You can increase the humidity by spraying the leaves with water, placing the plant on a tray of wet stones or using a humidifier.

Temperature : Anthurium prefers temperatures between 20-30 degrees Celsius and does not tolerate temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. Avoid placing the plant in drafts or near sources of heat or air conditioning.

General care : Remove dry leaves and flowers to keep the plant clean and healthy. The plant can be fertilized once a month during the growing season with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer.

Repotting : Anthurium must be repotted once every two years or when the roots start to grow through the drainage holes. Use a well-drained soil mixture, suitable for epiphytic plants.
