Full description and specifications

Sansevieria is a plant native to Africa, Madagascar and South Asia, and grown here as a houseplant. It does well with heat and strong light, but will also tolerate shade. It is important that it is grown in a well-drained substrate and that it is not overwatered.

Care:

  1. Light: Sansevieria 'Almond Jade' prefers indirect, bright light, but it can also tolerate low light. It can be placed both in sunny areas and in places with partial shade. Direct exposure to the sun for long periods can cause burns on the leaves.

  2. Watering: The plant must be watered moderately, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Excessive watering can lead to root rot. During the winter, watering must be significantly reduced, because the plant enters a period of rest.

  3. Soil: I prefer a well-drained, slightly sandy soil. A soil mix for cacti or succulents is ideal for Sansevieria 'Almond Jade'. It is important that the soil does not retain water.

  4. Temperature: The plant develops best at temperatures between 18-27°C. It can tolerate lower temperatures, up to about 10°C, but it must be protected from frost.

  5. Humidity: Sansevieria 'Almond Jade' tolerates dry air well and does not need high humidity. It is a suitable plant for the usual indoor climate.

  6. Fertilization: Fertilize the plant once every 2-3 months during the growth period (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half the recommended concentration.
