Calathea Crocata is a decorative plant both through flowers and leaves, being one of the few varieties of calathea that also produces flowers relevant in terms of appearance. The flowers are formed on tall stalks and are orange in color, being highly appreciated by connoisseurs.

  • Location: Calathea Crocata prefers a bright place, but without direct sunlight. A window facing east or west is ideal.
  • Temperature: The plant prefers a temperature between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. In winter, the temperature must not drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
  • Humidity: The plant needs a high humidity, at least 70%.
  • Watering: The plant must be watered regularly, so that the substrate is always moist, but not soaked with water.
  • Fertilization: The plant must be fertilized once every two weeks, during the growth period, with a liquid fertilizer for indoor plants.
  • Transplantation: The plant must be transplanted every 2-3 years, when the roots occupy the entire pot.
