Παρόδια Χρυσακανθίον

Parodia chrysacanthion is a globe-shaped or slightly elongated cactus, reaching sizes up to 20 cm in height and 9 cm in diameter.

It has a light green body, covered with numerous areoles from which thin, stiff spines grow, colored yellow or brown.

Flowering is a remarkable feature of this species, producing yellow flowers up to 4 cm in diameter, which appear at the top of the plant. These flowers strongly contrast with the green body and the colored spines of the cactus.

Parodia chrysacanthion prefers direct light conditions and well-drained soil, being drought-resistant but sensitive to frost. It is valued in cactus collections for its decorative appearance and attractive flowers.
