Hoya Wayetii - an endemic species from the Philippines, notable both for its impressive foliage and its delicate, red flowers with a honey scent. The flowers last up to 7 days, depending on the microclimate.
The leaves take on the famous boat-like shape, and the edges color when the plant is grown in strong light. Flowering is abundant in large specimens - the plant can bloom throughout the warm season if it receives strong light.
It is a hoya cactus - requires rare watering, tolerates drought well, and can go a long time without water. In case of dehydration, the plant usually recovers fully after a thorough watering. It tolerates short periods of lower temperatures, down to at least 10 degrees Celsius.
A very rewarding plant, recommended even for beginners, as it is not demanding regarding watering and adapts easily to any environment.

Hoya Wayetii is related to and very similar to Hoya kentiana, Hoya angustifolia, and Hoya longifolia - for this reason, there are many confusions and mix-ups. Differentiation of these species is done by observing characteristics such as leaf shape and size, peduncle length, and flower color.
