Hoya 'Chouke' is the accepted horticultural hybrid of Hoya carnosa x Hoya serpens. The foliage is elliptical and olive green, larger than that of serpens and smaller than that of a typical carnosa, with occasional silver splash. The growth habit is trailing, sometimes climbing. The flowers are creamy white, finely fuzzy, with a pink-orange center, and are fragrant. It is a sibling from the same seed capsule as 'Mathilde', not the same selection. The lot consists of a full pot containing several plants at different stages of development.

Foliage and growth. Mature leaves are elliptical, firm, olive green, with entire margins. When present, the silver markings are splash, not variegation. Young vines are thin; as the plant grows, they become more rigid. Shoot length varies from one specimen to another. A pot may contain plants at different stages of development.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are star-shaped, densely pubescent, creamy white with a pale pink tint. The center ranges from medium pink to orange and is lighter than that of 'Mathilde'. They are fragrant; the scent is perceived differently from person to person. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted horticultural name is Hoya 'Chouke'. The documented parentage is Hoya carnosa (seed parent) x Hoya serpens (pollen parent). The hybrid arose in cultivation in Belgium from an uncontrolled pollination and was published in 2003. The name commemorates the hybridizer's wife. The hybrid formula is not a published botanical nothospecies.

The decorative pot is not included in the price.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
