Ctenanthe burle marxii 'Amabilis' (green leaves)
Ctenanthe is a plant native to Central and South America. The plant is related to Calathea and Marantha and has the same characteristic as this one, to raise its leaves in the evening. So, don't be surprised if you hear noises in the evening: the rustling comes from the leaves sliding over each other!
Care:
- place the plant in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight.
- keep the soil slightly moist; do not allow the soil to dry out. Give small amounts of water regularly rather than a lot at once. It is watered once a week in summer, once every 2 weeks in winter.
This variety is a sensitive plant to temperature differences. Therefore, it is possible to receive these plants with some defects on the leaves, but these do not affect the viability of the plant.
