Chiloschista parishii

Chiloschista parishii orchid - a rare, miniature botanical species, notable for the absence of leaves and the abundant presence of roots, through which it also performs photosynthesis. Leaves appear seasonally, are insignificant, and usually fall before the flowers appear.
Chiloschista prefers higher humidity, being an epiphytic species often found on trees and shrubs growing in marshes.
Chiloschista parishii can produce one or more flower spikes, with tiny fragrant flowers, in an impressively large number relative to the size of the plant.
