Begonia 'Cleopatra'

Begonia 'Cleopatra' is a variety of begonia with a very attractive and distinctive appearance. This plant stands out for its colorful and patterned leaves, which can range from dark green shades to bronze or even purple, depending on light and soil conditions. Often, the leaves have a spiral or wavy pattern and may also have a velvety texture.

The flowers of this variety are usually pink or white and appear during the blooming periods. However, the main attraction of Begonia 'Cleopatra' remains its unique leaves.

Regarding care, this plant prefers well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Like other begonias, it is sensitive to overwatering and prefers moderate watering. Begonia 'Cleopatra' thrives best in a bright area with indirect light but can also tolerate semi-shaded conditions.

The ideal temperatures for this plant range between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. It prefers a high humidity environment, so misting the leaves with water can be beneficial, but in moderation to avoid mold growth.

Stock specimens may also have leaves with defects due to handling.
